Here's where "Ace" came from

Ok - enough already, I have been asked too many times where my nickname "Ace" came from. Several of you have said it has no relation to Anthony and I don't play cards and I don't shoot down airplaines. So here it is....drum roll please.....

In my younger, dumber days, I was into a gel in the hair - spike it up in the middle of my head stage. (That is not a picture of me by the way - hopefully all pictures of those days have been deleted, burned or otherwise destroyed. Anyway my Father is ultra-conservative, only white shirts and stripped ties at the office kind of guy, well he hated my hair an said that the spike in the middle made my head look like the Ace of Spades, and to try to embarrass me into a more conventional hair style he began calling me "Ace" well my friends who would come over to hang out thought it was cool for me to be called "Ace" and then it spread to school and beyond, so I go by Ace or Anthony or your royal-highness or anything else you may want to hang on me but that is the story of "Ace"

until next time... Ace

Pastor's the man

I want to recommend to you my online pastor. My current health status prevents me from going to church which has always been part of my life. My immigrant parents made sure of that when I was a child and a it has remained a spiritual practice I still hold as valuable in my life. I was introduced to Pastor Jesse Waggoner via a friend who works in radio production and I first heard him on the radio - his church puts their service (the whole thing) on the air every week. I grabbed his picture above from his website (Hope you don"t mind pastor J).

From the radio show I was pointed to the website called the Bible Center Network, where Pastor's teaching is online. You can watch video or subscribe to the video podcaste - which allows me to watch the sermons on my iPhone. Pastor Waggoner also has a website of his own called WaggonerMedia.com here you can also get his blog, pictures, things he writes and sermons also. If you are searching for a great pastor, then search no more - you will get good Bible teaching, good humor and a man who can really communicate. He really does preaching different, he doesn't get all pastoral preachy, it is more like a normal conversation. Even though I don't enjoy the ministry live, I feel a real human connection, not all preachers seem to know how to do that.

He also does a daily question that I sometimes answer on Facebook called www.OneDailyQuestion.com, he also does a video from his car where he drives and teaches the Bible at the same time, which is a little weird but hey I do some weird stuff while I am driving. Here are Pastor Jesse's links - look him up and you will be blessed.
